ACTION: Provide feedback on Industry Priorities for Skills and Workforce Development.
The purpose of the Industry Skills Priorities Paper is to seek feedback from industry stakeholders on a summary of the key industry and skills-related trends, domestically and internationally that have been identified for each of the four main industries (Transport and Logistics, Rail, Maritime and Aviation) inclusive of the emerging sectors of Omnichannel Logistics and Distribution; and Air and Space Transport and Logistics.
The main themes in the Industry Skills Priorities paper are drawn from desktop research, and targeted industry consultation since ISA commenced operations in June 2023.
This information, along with feedback from stakeholders will be used by ISA in the development of the four 2023 Industry Initial Workforce Plan and prioritise work on each industry’s components of the Training Products and workforce development.

The Plan will also focus on continuing initiatives, including skills development for the tourism and hospitality industries, social assistance and allied health and agriculture sectors, and raising the profile of VET among young Western Australians.
