Mentoring Program to Increase Uptake of Women

 The Office for Women in the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet is funding a mentoring pilot program that aims to encourage the uptake of women in non-traditional trades. The BUSY Sisters mentoring program supports females in the first six months of their apprenticeship or traineeship, to assist mentees succeed in their chosen trade.

Women in Defence Scholarship Program – Applications Now Open

The Women in Defence Industry scholarship program is delivered by South Metropolitan TAFE, in partnership with industry. The program offers two qualifications, achieved over six months; the Certificate II in Electronics, and the Certificate III in Engineering — Technical, which can open up a range of job and career opportunities in the defence industry. Applications are now open and provides a fantastic opportunity for women thinking of a career change or returning to the workforce.
