On behalf of the Transport and Logistics Industry Reference Committee (IRC), its Technical Advisory Committee has considered all stakeholder feedback and revised nine draft Units of Competency for the Crane High Risk Work Licence project.
At the request of Safe Work Australia, the units have been aligned to existing requirements for high-risk work licences for crane operators as set out in Schedule 4 of the model WHS Regulations.

The Transport and Logistics Industry Reference Committee (IRC) has commenced the Crane High Risk Work Licence project. This project is at the request of Safe Work Australia to align nine Units of Competency in the Transport and Logistics Training Package with WHS regulations related to High-Risk Work Licences (HRWL) for crane operators, as set out in Schedule 4 to the model WHS Regulations. The IRC has established a Technical Advisory Committee of subject matter experts for the project.
