The Year 9 Career Taster Program (CTP) Portal will be going live from week 4 of term 2. The portal connects schools with engaging industry experiences through a searchable database and houses informational resources for career pathway planning. The CTP offers employers and industry bodies a fantastic opportunity to showcase their industry and engage young people through highlighting current and future occupations and career pathways available. Industry bodies, employers and training bodies can nominate to provide an experience via the Portal, or by filling out the attached Event and Experience form. Industry experiences and resources will be added to the Portal as they become available. Please use the Event and Experience form and send it through to Career.TasterProgram@dtwd.wa.gov.au. ![]()
All Australian workers now need some level of digital skills aligned to tasks such as recording orders, deliveries, timesheets and budgets. The Digital Skills Organisation is delivering a pilot program offering free short, practical online training developed with industry, reflecting in-demand skills and designed to ensure workplace relevance. The training is free of charge until 30 June 2022.

Feedback has now been aggregated, deidentified and submitted to the State Training Board per the Establishment and Variation of Apprenticeship (EVAC) process. Although the submission has now closed, consultations will continue to be held to discuss this issue.
