As many of you are already aware, the Logistics Training Council (LTC) has recently rebranded to embrace Defence and Defence Industries under our remit; and we are now known as the Logistics & Defence Skills Council (LDSC).
The official launch occurred Thursday 26 November 2020 and we were delighted to see such an incredible turnout of attendees representing our diverse industry coverage areas. A special thank you to Mr Matt Moran, Executive Director Defence West for providing the keynote address, as well as to all those who attended to embrace the revitalised LDSC.
These new changes have brought with it a new and refreshed look for the LDSC including an updated website to make it easier to find information on workforce development issues affecting your industry sector. As you visit our new website you will find a knowledge and resources hub on the hot-button topics affecting your industry sectors. As always, we welcome your feedback so please get in touch to let us know what you think.
We take this opportunity to thank you all for your ongoing support and commitment to the LDSC. We wish you all a happy and safe festive season as we reflect on all the developments 2020 has brought.
Next year we will be continuing to work closely with our industry stakeholders as we explore the workforce development issues and opportunities for industry sectors under our remit, including those changes introduced by the impact of COVID-19. This will include our Industry Working Group (IWG) meetings, as well as individual catch ups and regional visits scheduled throughout the year.
Most importantly, we look forward to welcoming you all to a safe, happy and prosperous new year 2021.
(Please also note, our office will be closed from COB 18 December 2020 and will reopen 4 January 2021).
