The LDSC has recently expanded our industry coverage areas and we now have the Retail industry under our remit. Our new Industry Consultant, Kayla Wood will be responsible for our Wholesale and Retail portfolio.
Kayla has over 11 years’ experience working firsthand within the Retail Industry and she has a background in Learning and Development, Human Resource Management and working within Leadership roles. We would like to take this time to formerly welcome Kayla to the LDSC team. If you would like to set up a meeting with Kayla to discuss workforce development issues within the Wholesale and Retail sectors then please contact her via Kayla@ldsc.asn.au or on (08) 9388 8781.
Over the last month, the LDSC has been working very hard on finalising our submissions for the WA Jobs and Education and Training (WAJET) Survey. This survey tool will be used to inform the State Priority Occupation List (SPOL), Priority Industry Qualification List (PIQL) and the West Australian Skills Migration List (WASMOL). Thank you to everyone who provided feedback for this report via Industry Working Group meetings, emails, phone calls and through our own industry survey tool. Your contribution is a vital component of our feedback to State Government and is essential in ensuring we provide an accurate portrayal of WA workforce issues and we are grateful for your time.
As always remember you can get in touch with the LDSC at any time if there are any workforce development issues affecting your industry. You can do this via the contact form on our website or on (08) 9388 8781.
